    What is subscription

Subscribing to a message (subscription) is done by send ports and orchestrations. Send ports and orchestrations subscribe to a particular message type.

If you do not specify an address on your letter its not going to be delivered. The same way Send ports and orchestrations subscribe to a message by specifying its type ie (target namespace#root node).

When a message is received by the messagebox, its context is compared to the available subscription information, if a match is found the message is passed to the appropriate orchestration for some processing or to the adapter.  so what happens if there is any subscription information available, well then biztalk will raise an error.
